Authorized Use of Rice Seeds
Identification of valid rice seed
- Legally paddy seeds are packaged with a special bag weighing 20kg/bag.
- The valid paddy seed bag has a blue strip and the Malaysian Government logo.
- Each valid paddy clean bag has a blue quality certification level as the product identity.
- Valid paddy seeds are produced only by producers designated by the Government of Malaysia.
Management of rice seed at the farm level.
- Adequate supply of Nutrients for assimilation of pesticide and reproductive growth of paddy trees and full filling of rice.
- Regular implementation of fertilization, adequate rates and nutrient supply by the paddy plant.
- Seedling management is needed throughout the growth of paddy trees, followed by drying of the paddy fields. This ensures that the formation and filling of assimilation are not affected.
Inspection and control of rice seed at the farm level by the Department of Agriculture.
